What's new in ArcGIS Knowledge 11.3

The following changes have been made to ArcGIS Knowledge at this release:

  • You can add constraint rules to a knowledge graph that restrict the types of relationships that can be created between entities in the graph. For example, you can create a rule where the only relationship type allowed between a Person entity and a Vehicle entity is a HasVehicle relationship. Rules can also prevent establishing specific relationship types such as a HasEmployee relationship between a Person entity and a Pet entity but other relationship types are allowed. These rules are respected when you edit the knowledge graph. You can create a relationship constraints using ArcGIS API for Python or ArcGIS REST API.

A new web application, ArcGIS Knowledge Studio, is available. It allows you to explore the contents of a knowledge graph in a web browser.

  • Maps and link charts can be exported as portal content items to ArcGIS Enterprise 11.3 or later versions.
  • Maps and link charts that include content from knowledge graphs can be imported from ArcGIS Enterprise 11.3 or later versions of portal into your Knowledge Studio project.
  • When exploring a knowledge graph's data in a link chart, the Filtered Expand tool allows you to learn more about an entity by adding entities and relationships connected through specific relationship types.
  • The Query view allows you to query knowledge graph data, store key queries in your Knowledge Studio project, and add your results to maps and link charts in your project.
  • When working with selections in maps and link charts, the Selection Manager allows you to view properties of selected records, filter your selection, and pan to or remove individual records from your selection.

New capabilities are also available in ArcGIS Pro to load, explore, and query data; to filter paths using time periods and preview paths found in the Filtered Find Paths pane; and share link charts to an ArcGIS Enterprise 11.3 deployment as a web link chart.
